Martina Cabanas

She studied drama at the Instituto de Teatro de Terrassa and attended several courses in London and Buenos Aires. In spite of this, she has always been attracted to the field of direction and play-writing. What led her in this direction was her work as assistant director to Albert Boadella, who inspired her to direct and write her own stories.

She has assisted directors as important as Javier Daulte, Marina Bollaín and, of course, Albert Boadella. This led her to write together with her maestro El coloquio de los perros (Dialogue between Scipio and Berganza), her first fully professional and staged work, although she has also written a series called A bodes em convides and several short cabarets for the local television network. Due to her effervescent and versatile talent, she cannot but continue her acting career. Her most recent work as an actress in theatre is in La Regenta, where she interpreted a small part that combined with her stage management of the playTres sombreros de copa, a production of the company Corcia or Kurva of the Reial Companyia de Teatre de Catalunya.
